SLA batteries have a low self-discharge rate of approximately 40% per year or 3.3% per month. They can be stored without charging for up to 5-6 months when fully charged, although regular top charging every 2-3 months is recommended to prolong shelf life.

Connecting Batteries

Series Connection: The maximum number of batteries that can be connected in series is four. This configuration doubles the voltage while maintaining the same capacity (amp hours). Connect the positive terminal of the first battery to the negative terminal of the second battery. Then, connect the positive terminal of the second battery to your device's power lead and the negative terminal to the ground connection.

Parallel Connection: There are no limitations on parallel connections. This setup doubles the capacity (amp hours) while maintaining the same voltage. Connect the positive terminals of both batteries together and the negative terminals together. Connect your application to the positive and negative terminals of the first battery.

Important Information Before You Buy

To ensure compatibility with your original battery, compare the physical dimensions, voltage, and amp power of your original model to our battery. Also, check the battery terminals (the metal connectors on top of the battery) to determine the correct type, whether flat connector, nut and bolt, or wires, and measure their sizes.
